Bankruptcy Conditions Ballot Results
The Bankruptcy Conditions ballot passed with 74% voting FOR the agreement.
We are strong and resilient. We acted together as one crew to keep control of our contract, preserve base wages, healthcare, and lock in snapbacks for all of the cuts. This contract isn’t the win we dreamed of, but it’s proof we can move mountains when we stand as one.
We fought to minimize the cost cutting and keep control in our hands — instead of ceding control to the courts, management, or financiers. We fought hard to protect our base pay and prevent changes to our healthcare. We secured date-certain snapbacks.
We showed the company we will NEVER be silent. Hold your head high. You showed up, you spoke up, and you refused to be ignored. We have faced challenges before, and we will overcome this too as we have in the past.
Our fight to protect our jobs and our airline is not over. We are focused on securing our future with a financially healthy airline so that we can fly well into the future.
Take care of each other. We’re hurting, we’re tired, but we’re family, and we can get through anything together.
Now that this AIP has passed, let's look to the future and focus on the journey to restoring the airline to health so we can prosper again. Our solidarity is the only way forward. Our AFA EAP is here for you always as are your elected leaders - always.
In Solidarity,
Your Spirit AFA MEC
