November Updates: VTO, Line Count, & Reserve Info
Dear Spirit Airlines Flight Attendants,
AFA understands that the current furloughs and overstaffed positions for November 2025 may feel challenging, and we are committed to supporting you through this time with clear communication and options. We hope the following updates will help you plan with confidence and ease. Please take a moment to review these important details:
Voluntary Time Off (VTO) Opportunity
To help balance staffing needs, the company is offering Voluntary Time Off (VTO) for November. This option is open to all flight attendants, including those facing furloughs in December. If you’re considering taking some time off, we encourage you to take advantage of this flexible opportunity to suit your personal needs.Early Release of November Line Count
To give you more time to plan, the MEC has voted to release the November 2025 line count earlier than usual, just for this month. This will allow you to see if you’ll be on reserve status for November. We will return to our regular posting schedule in December 2025.Local Line Count Release
To ensure everyone has access to this information, the Locals will also be releasing their line counts. This will be particularly helpful for members who may not receive this E-LINE, so please check with your Local newsletters for updates.Extended VTO Application Window
For November only, the VTO window is open until 12:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.November Reserve Projections
Due to the current staffing levels, the company expects that up to 70% of flight attendants may be placed on reserve for November.
Here is the Line count by base for November 2025:
If VTO feels right for you, submit your bid by October 8 at Noon EST in FLICA.
AFA truly values your hard work, resilience, and dedication to our passengers. If you have any questions or need support, please don’t hesitate to contact your AFA scheduling representative. AFA is here for you every step of the way.
