Important Hotel & Transportation Resources

  • CrewConneX

CrewConneX is the company-provided application that contains your actual booked hotel reservation and ground transportation information.

You can download the app on the app store or google play store or you can visit the website to access current reservations, file a compliment, or complaint.

When you file a hotel complaint, compliment, or any other feedback via CrewConneX, it goes directly to the hotel, Spirit Airlines, Spirit AFA as well as ALPA! It’s your ONE STOP SHOP for all things hotel and transportation-related needs!

    Download the CrewConneX Guide HERE!

  • AFA Support Center (File a Ticket)

    Did a contractual violation occur?

If so, you can sign in to the AFA Support Center to file a ticket. When submitting proof of burden or violation, please be as specific as possible to expedite the processing of your claim. You have 30 days from the violation to file a ticket.

When submitting documentation, ensure you do NOT submit screenshots of FC View or Crewline as these apps are not approved by the company for proof.

  • Hotel Etiquette

When on a layover, it is expected that we are all on our best behavior as WE all represent Spirit Airlines and AFA. If you look bad, you make us all look bad and unprofessional behavior jeopardizes the contracts with our layover hotels.

The majority of the flight attendants are courteous and professional but there are a few that may be ruining our reputation due to their actions. If you witness unprofessional behavior being exhibited by one of your fellow crew members, please intervene and inform your local Hotel and EAP/Professional Standards representative(s).

  • Hotel Safety Tips

Staying safe while on the road is essential for ensuring that your layovers are fun and enjoyable.

Your Hotel Committee has put together some information to help you to stay safe whether you’re in Hartford, CT or Lima, Peru.

  • Hurricane Safety Tips

As an airline, we fly to destinations that have weather phenomena that you may not be used to. At Spirit Airlines, our biggest threat to our network is hurricanes.

As an airline with a massive presence and headquarters in Florida, hurricanes are nothing new to us. However, many of us have minimal to zero experience with hurricanes. By staying prepared, you can know what to expect and possess techniques to remain safe during any level of a hurricane.

  • Bed Bugs: What to Do

Bed bugs are an ongoing problem that each of us needs to be on the lookout for when traveling. From luxury high-end resorts to budget roadside motels, bed bugs do not discriminate with their presence.

By taking precautions, you can lower your potential risk of accidentally letting these pests hitch a ride in your luggage and coming back home with you!

Approved vs. Recommended Applications

APPROVED:

The company has a set list of approved applications that they use for communicating information to the workgroup. These applications are specifically approved for use from the company by employees and accepted as proof of burden when you encounter any kind of violation while at work and submit screenshots or feedback via the AFA Support Center.

NOT APPROVED:

Although the Flight Attendant group has some pretty savvy ways of keeping up-to-date, sharing information, accessing schedules, etc., the company does not accept screenshots from most applications that you may use. Below you will find a section containing ONLY Spirit approved applications and then a separate section of just helpful applications you can use that have been recommended by your fellow Flight Attendants.

Approved by Spirit Airlines

  • Spirit Airlines

    APPROVED Application

Through the Spirit Mobile App, you can easily manage your deadheading trips, check in, get your boarding pass, and receive flight status updates. You can use this to screenshot flight status/cancellations when submitting tickets.

  • CrewConneX

    APPROVED Application

Track upcoming hotel reservations, provide feedback (negative or positive) and is monitored by Spirit Airlines, Spirit AFA-CWA, Hotel Connections, and ALPA (pilots union.) This kills four birds with one stone and shows all of your accurate hotel reservations.

  • ELP Crew Portal

    APPROVED Application

Used by crew members to receive, view, and acknowledge schedule changes and to receive custom notifications from crew scheduling.

NOTE: AFA-CWA does NOT endorse checking in for trips via ELP nor is it permitted by Spirit Airlines to use this feature currently.

  • UKG Pro (UltiPro)

    APPROVED Application

Through UKG Pro, employees can quickly access their personal HR dashboard and view their current and previous pay information, including accessing previous W2s.

Recommended by Flight Attendants

  • FC View

    NOT APPROVED Application

FC View provides Pilots and Flight Attendants with a copy of your schedule, downloaded from FLiCA, and stored right on your phone!

Screenshots from FC View are NOT accepted by Spirit AFA or Spirit Airlines when filing tickets or grievances.

  • Crewline

    NOT APPROVED Application

Crewline provides Pilots and Flight Attendants with a copy of your schedule, downloaded from FLiCA, and stored right on your phone.

Screenshots from Crewline are NOT accepted by Spirit AFA or Spirit Airlines when filing tickets or grievances.
